About Me

Carlton Clayton, LMBT I am a North Carolina native, born and reared in New Bern. I entered the U. S. Air Force immediately after graduating high school and for the next thirty years I enjoyed the best years of my life. I retired from the Air Force in June 2007 and began my second career as a massage therapist. I knew that I wanted to become a massage therapist upon retirement and so began researching massage therapy schools several years prior.

After extensive research, I found that the Atlanta School of Massage’s comprehensive 750-hour training program offered the best, quality massage therapy education and was the best fit for me. Courses of study included anatomy, physiology, massage history, hydrotherapy, massage techniques, cryotherapy, spa therapy, aroma therapy, seated massage, foot reflexology and introduction to Thai massage.  It didn’t take very long for me to realize that massage is much more than just a back rub.

I graduated the Atlanta School of Massage in 2007 with certifications in Swedish, Neuromuscular/Deep Tissue, Spa Services, Reflexology, and Chair massage. I furthered my education with courses in hot stone, prenatal, and Thai and continue to broaden my massage education, techniques and skills.

I am a North Carolina State licensed (No. 7860), National Board Certified, Massage Therapist and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
